When we all met up in Scotland for the first trip, we’d not seen each other in almost over a decade. None of us had been fishing before, it just felt like the right thing to do. With one of us getting married imminently, we felt that this might well be the last chance that we have for a proper lads get together – so we organised the small-scale stag do up fishing on the River Annan.
We all went into that weekend with a different agenda. Some of us wanted to spend a weekend away from our better halves, others wanted to drink, but our groom wanted to catch a salmon. You could say that we all got we wanted out of that first trip, which is why we’ve always come back at least or twice a year (when our wives let us!). This blog collects together some of the things that have happened on these trips since that first trip in 2010.
Big Catches, disastrous camping experiences and some truly great food – we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some awesome times up here and now we’re looking forward to sharing them with you, as well as some tips on how to enjoy your very own fishing holiday up here in Scotland and the rest of the UK.
